The Huckster Takes NumbersUSA Pledge. Too Bad For NumbersUSA.
By Marcus Epstein
With every Republican candidate scrambling to position themselves as genuine patriotic immigration reformers, Mike Huckabee was given a great boost when he signed NumbersUSA’s "No Amnesty" Pledge. NumbersUSA President and CEO, Roy Beck went down in person to South Carolina to appear at a signing ceremony with Huckabee. Beck told supporters that:
[quote]“Every candidate claims to oppose amnesty, but few define amnesty the way most Americans do. I applaud Gov. Huckabee for defining amnesty correctly, and for pledging to fully enforce laws that would take away the jobs and benefits magnets that draw illegal aliens here – and that keep them hereâ€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Good article. I believe he captures the feelings of many of us on this.

I got a call that started as if it were a national poll then it turned into and was an attempt to sway people to vote for Huckabee.
One of the questions was; Would you prefer to vote for a rich insider or a man who grew up poor and understands poor and middle class American issues.
After the questions they listed endorsements and one really ticked me off as I don't believe it it true. They said the National Minuteman Coalition had endorsed Huckabee. I would guess they worded it in a way to not be held liable for their LIE.
This guy is dangerous and a pathelogical liar IMO.
Because of Numbers hard work on the IA issue I am trying to understand their decision."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

They have corrected this by instituting an overall rating for
each candidate
I think the current numbers are
Good
Romney at 28%
Fair
Huck at 24%
Ron Paul at 24%

In addition to his pro-illegal stance, one thing that threw a big red flag up for me about the Huckster was when he told people at a campaign stop in Iowa, "If you caucus for me, you're doing God's work!" I think it's completely inappropriate for a candidate to say something like that. This isn't a theocracy the last time I checked.
