    Arrests, sezures, drug busts, etc. for 9/10/12

    U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter, Blaine Sector August 30 – September 5

    (Monday, September 10, 2012)

    Blaine, Wash. – The information listed below is from arrests and seizures related to the U.S. Border Patrol in the Blaine Sector area of operations. For security reasons, this may not be a complete list of enforcement actions.

    08/30/2012 – A concerned citizen reported a suspicious individual near the United States/Canada border in an area north of Lynden, Wash. Nearby Sumas Border Patrol agents responded and located the individual. The subject, a citizen of Canada, admitted having just entered the United States illegally. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

    09/01/2012 – Bellingham Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Ferndale Police Department regarding a subject they had detained in Ferndale, Wash. The individual, a citizen of Mexico, admitted being present in the United States illegally. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

    09/04/2012 – While patrolling the border, Sumas Border Patrol agents encountered five people attempting to hide in close proximity to the United States/Canada border east of Sumas, Wash. The subjects, citizens of India, were determined to be present in the United States illegally and subsequently placed under arrest and processed for removal.

CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
