Woman sought in sale of fake documents

Federal agents are looking for a Sioux Falls woman suspected of selling fake documents to illegal immigrants.

Yolanda Pestana was charged Wednesday with possession of fraudulent immigration documents.

The case began in June when a postal inspector contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents about a package intercepted on its way from Phoenix to Sioux Falls. The package contained four ID cards relating to two people.

An agent recognized a photograph on a card as a suspected illegal immigrant, Martin Aguilar. Agents spoke with Aguilar, who acknowledged buying a green card from Pestana for $150.

Prosecutors had made similar allegations against another Sioux Falls man, Jose Pavon, but dismissed the complaint Thursday.
