Border Patrol agents seized over 14,443 pounds of marijuana. Agents arrested 3 criminal aliens and 4 gang members. There were 8 rocking incidents.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Sarita, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) gang member. Records checks revealed the subject had been previously removed from the United States.


Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,719 pounds of marijuana and recovered a stolen GMC Sierra truck near Gunsight, Arizona. The vehicle was discovered abandoned and concealed with a tarp and brush in the desert. A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in Calexico, California. During processing, the subject admitted to being a member of the 18th Street Gang in Compton, California. Records checks revealed the subject had a lengthy criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.


Laredo Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,201 pounds of marijuana, a 1994 International van, and arrested a United States Citizen (USC) at the traffic checkpoint near Freer, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed the narcotics.


Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 3,072 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested two USCs at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and a scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies within the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered the concealed marijuana.


Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 6,188 pounds of marijuana, 11.65 pounds of cocaine, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer and a scan utilizing non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies within the trailer. A search of the trailer uncovered the marijuana

Marfa Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested four illegal aliens from Mexico near Marathon, Texas. One of the four, a female, claimed she was sexually assaulted at gunpoint in Mexico by one of the males in the group. The case was referred to the appropriate agency for investigation and the subject was transported to a local hospital.


Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,241 pounds of marijuana and a Chevrolet Tahoe near Fronton, Texas. Agents approached the vehicle after they observed several subjects loading large packages in the vehicle. The subjects abandoned the vehicle and fled the area on foot. A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana.

Del Rio Sector – Border Patrol agents detained a USC near Carrizo Springs, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had an active warrant of arrest and was identified as a violent sexual predator.


El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Sureño gang. Records checks revealed he had an active warrant of arrest for probation violation issued in the state of California and a prior conviction for criminal gang activity. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.


El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Sunland Park, New Mexico. Records checks revealed the subject was a convicted sex offender in the state of Minnesota and had been previously removed from the United States.


Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Guatemala near Ajo, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject was a convicted sex offender in the state of California and had been previously removed from the United States.

Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 4,004 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the trailer and a subsequent search revealed the marijuana.


San Diego Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested two nationals of Somalia and seized .42 pounds of Khat near Murrieta, California.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Niland, California. Records checks revealed the subject had a prior conviction for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 in the state of California, and had been previously removed from the United States.


Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 2,081 pounds of marijuana and recovered a stolen Chevrolet Suburban near Gu Vo, Arizona. The vehicle was discovered abandoned by agents near the Tohono O'odham Nation.


Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents were assaulted by unidentified subjects throwing rocks near Naco, Arizona. The agents were assaulted by subjects near the International Border fence. Agents deployed a pepperball launching system and their attackers fled into Mexico.

El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents seized $264,900 in U.S. currency, a Ford Mustang, and arrested a USC near Indio, California. Agents conducted a vehicle stop and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 26 bundles of currency concealed within the trunk.


El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being an Azteca gang member. Records checks revealed the subject had been previously removed from the United States.


Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents rescued an adult female from a vehicle that was stranded by flood waters near Brownsville, Texas. Agents went into the water, rescued the subject, and assisted in retrieving the vehicle from the flood waters.
