    New Mexico Border Patrol Agent Arrested

    A border patrol agent based out of Deming, New Mexico was arrested on a number of charges surrounding smuggling drugs across the U.S./Mexico Border.

    Eric Raymond Macias has been under investigation by the FBI for the past two years. He has been charged with aiding and abetting the transportation and distribution of marijuana and cocaine and accepting bribes.

    According to the arrest affidavit, between September 2007 and February 2008 he accepted $39,000 worth in bribes.

    He turned himself into the FBI in Las Cruces on Friday. On Monday he was released on $5,000 bond.

    Absolute Treason. But then again, all politicians are guilty of the same thing. Putting aside the interests of the people you were hired to serve in order to enrich yourself...
