    As a side... I was reading on Michelle Malkin's blog yesterday and following her thread on this issue. In that thread, there were several current and retired engineers - many of whom logged time with aerospace/aircraft manufacturers (yes, including Boeing) and it was really interesting to hear their criticisms with the general approach, but also with Boeing's approach to government contracts too.
