CONCORD, N.C. -- An immigrant has been arrested and charged in a hit and run incident involving a child who was walking to a school bus.
Immigration officials are now checking the driver's legal status and could deport her.
A parent followed the car and called police.
Officers arrested Martha Lorenzano and discovered she is not a U.S. citizen.
They say she ignored the stop arm of a school bus on Kerr Street.
Regina Sanford saw the whole thing.
"When she hit him, he flew up in the air, came down, hit her hood--it was obvious she hit him really hard," said Sanford.
The boy had leg injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.

I have been sitting here thinking about the way this illegal woman just DROVE OFF after hitting a child, and I am furious! I can guarantee you that her ONLY CONCERN was not getting caught because she feared deportation, knowing that she was illegal. How could ANYONE, especially a woman, drive off after hitting a child? She just DID NOT CARE that she had injured that child! Her only concern was herself. Thank goodness that other woman witnessed the hit and run and turned the illegal driver in!

any American that hit a child and ran, driving without proper documentation would not be granted 'immunity' and sent home ... they would serve time in jail. When is law enforcement going to enforce the laws against illegals?

Pretty common stuff in Nashville. Once, instead of a hit and run, they pulled over and shot her execution style...went home, gave the gun to the girlfriend...then pretended like nothing happened. The woman was pregnant. Do a search on Tracy Owen (think I have the spelling right). In fact, there are two victims on this site for Nashville http://www.immigrationshumancost.org...mevictims.html
A co-worker of mines husband was in one of these and now has permanent back problems even after all of his surgeries.
This past Saturday when I went to look at a house to buy a hispanic girl came right at me in her car while I was walking on the side of the street. She and the guy with her started laughing when I ran into the grass.
The banjo player from the Andy Griffith show was involved in one and is crippled for life. That happened not to far from me.
The list goes on around here. I have gotten so upset with all of this that I really have to walk away for a few days. It is very upsetting. I hear and see way to much. Worst case was when I went to do my laundry at a laundromat and some illegals just finished raping and killing a girl in the bathroom right before I showed up. It is absolutely sickening and I for the life of me can not understand why our politicians are looking the other way. If I am frustrated or upset it is because of these crimes. I can not understand it and I really have tried and nothing seems to wash.<div>"You know your country is dying when you have to make a distinction between what is moral and ethical, and what is legal." -- John De Armond</div>
