Tancredo is right about Miami's status
Nothing like hearing the opinion of a local.

It appears that U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo is right on target when he referred to Miami as a Third World country.
Think about this: We, American citizens, are becoming a minority in our own country. The elected politicians are afraid of the radical groups -- or is it because we have too many Spanish elected officials? Since when did speaking your mind in America become dangerous?
Jeb Bush may call Rep. Tancredo "naive," but it is Gov. Bush who is restricted in his mental capacity.
It is unacceptable when a political leader is barred from speaking the facts about cultural assimilation and bilingualism. We should not have to push 1 for English. We should not have to shop and hear nothing but the babble of Spanish. This is America and our language is English.
Shame on Randy Palmer, the general manager of the Rusty Pelican, for lacking the courage to stand strong for America. His statement, "We thought it would be in everyone's best interests to not permit Congressman Tancredo to speak" at his restaurant is clearly understood because he knew he would lose a major portion of his business since this is a Third World country.
Fortunately, we do have a lot of Americans who have the courage to stand strong on this issue. This is a serious issue and needs to be addressed correctly and positively.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

In the year 2000 and maybe before that, and may still be, Miami had the largest gap between wages earned and the cost of living out of any other major city in the US--something you can directly blame on the Cubans working for less and not demanding equal pay. Found that tidbit on the web at the Bureau of Statistics.

I remember that Rockfish. I'm sure that we can safely assume that this has only become worse since 2000.
