CBP officers arrest two men who allegedly sexually assaulted children

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in the El Paso area have arrested two men wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting children.

Customs officials said officers arrested Jose Maria Urias, 74, at the Presidio port of entry on March 16. Urias, a Presidio resident, had been returning from Mexico in a Chevrolet pickup truck when officers stopped him and looked up his information. Officers discovered Urias had a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child charges in Presidio County. He was turned over to the Presidio Police Department.

Three days later, Customs officers at the Fort Hancock port of entry stopped Armando Valenzuela, 32, of Chihuahua, as he tried to enter the U.S. in the pedestrian lane. As he was processed officers discovered Valenzuela was wanted in Hudspeth County on aggravated sexual assault of a child charges. Officers contacted Hudspeth County Sheriff's deputies, who tool Valenzuela into custody.
