DEMOCRATS WANT TO FUND ACORN, LA RAZA WITH STIMULUS BILL

The Democrats reacted in anger when Senate Republicans blocked their latest economic stimulus bill. Harry Reid said that bankers and lenders were high-fiving each other in hallways after the GOP torpedoed the bill, but perhaps a better explanation of Reid's disappointment comes from Bob Casey (D-PA). The beneficiaries of the bill turns out to be somewhat different than advertised:
[quote]Mr. CASEY: “We want to do a couple of things with this legislation, which we know is the Foreclosure Prevention Act of 2008. Our Majority Leader, Senator Reid, and our leadership and the members of the Democratic Caucus set it out fairly specifically. A couple of basic things this legislation would have done: first of all, it would have continued what we started in the end of last year, foreclosure prevention counseling dollars, to give money to organizations around the country that are certifiably expert at this, organizations like La Raza. I know the presiding officer knows that group. We know also the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now, known by the acronym ‘ACORN.’ They’re headquartered in Philadelphia. These are organizations which understand what a lender has to deal with but more importantly deal with borrowers when they’re borrowing money, when they’re dealing with the difficulty and complexity of borrowing money. These organizations would have helped even more so than they’re helping now with $200 million more of counseling money. That’s not going to happen right now because of what the other side did; they blocked that money by blocking this legislation.â€

I just heard on c-span this morning "watch all bills labeled stimulus" they ( the Dems) are going to use this to try to get bill through congress for illegals!!

We are going to have to watch them like a hawk.

These people will keep on sucking this economy dry. When are they going to realize that this culture are just takers.

200 million dollars for a criminal enterprise like ACORN and a racist hate group like La Raza?!?!?!?!?!?!? Articles like this one makes me want to escape reality and just get my kicks before the whole $hithouse goes down in flames. The way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if our republic implodes during my lifetime.

"Counseling money"......that's a new one. 200 MILLION, just more campaign money. Every dollar a politician votes to spend is "campaign moeny"......it's all about buying votes.

LaRaza has been getting millions for "housing counseling", whatever that is....I always thought real estate people were "house counselers". I'm sure LaRaza has a lot of folks in the Realty biz! They take govt. money and use it for down payments on homes??!! Or to pay "fees"??!!

Oh, this makes me burning up mad! These $hitsticks have gone crazy. I now take it that they are deliberately trying to bust the economy by giving money out like hot potatoes to any foreign and pro-illegal person they can find. I actually makes me mad as hell. It really does make people lose all control of their actions. There is going to be hell to pay very soon. If I have any control over me paying taxes, I will never pay taxes again. I just wish everyone else could do the same so we could stop this madness. The IRS is stealing our money anyway. income is profit, when you work for someone they make the profit, you make a wage. A profit is something you invest your money in and when you sell that in which you have invested for over the amount you have invested, you then have profit. I'm sick of this communistic junk.
