Outrage continued Friday in Mexico a day after Alabama’s governor signed the toughest law in the United States against illegal immigration.

The law would impose criminal penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants, give local police broad powers to arrest anyone they suspect of entering the United States without a visa and compel public schools to check the immigration status of students.

Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing “deep concernâ€

The United Farm Workers labor union is warning that prices of fruits and vegetables are likely to rise if low-wage workers who typically are illegal immigrants are not available for the harvests.

I for one will gladly pay more for fruits and veggies and I will enjoy every bite if I am sure an illegal didn't pick it. Mexico needs to keeps its abnormally large nose in it's country and worry about problems there. This law is for the greater good of Alabamians. What makes me sick is that the media is not reporting on the victims of illegal immigration who will be relieved by this law.

Due to poor border controls, outsourcing, loss of manufacturing steps must be taken to protect America interest, yep, protectionism the ugly word but unless we take steps America as we know will soon be gone.

Mexico is not our friend and presents a clear and present danger to our country. Anyone who doesn't see that is not paying attention.

As far as cost goes, once the law is enforced, many people will leave that state and many employers will not want to face a law suit. So, at first it might cost, but when the illegals see that they may, indeed, be arrested and deported, they probably, hopefully will leave.
