    Republican Congressman Trent Franks is responding to last week's immigration sweeps by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The sweeps were operated out of Surprise, which is in Franks' district 2.

    The congressman hesitated to endorse or condemn the sweeps, saying he doesn’t have all the facts about the operation. But the three-time representative made it clear he believes law enforcement’s focus should be on violent crime first.

    Franks said he's saddened by stories of immigrant families broken up in the sweeps.
    All criminals families are "broke-up" when they go to jail!!!!
    If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.

    This sounds like this guy is talking out of both sides of his mouth, perhaps because he doesn't know which part of the electorate, the illegals or the legal voters, will help him stay in office. Talk about straddling the fence!

    I think it's because he doesn't want to be killed by them.
    I think that's why many people stay out of it.
    They will also kill reporters...
    Sheriff Joe MUST have 24/7 protection.
