Ted Nugent: Davy Crockett did it...and was right!

Ted Nugent Tells Congress To Stop Pandering: 'Davy Crocket Had To Shoot Santa Ana's Men, It Was The Right Thing To Do ... But He Wouldn't Get The Hispanic Vote' [Video]
    By Digger

In an interview on Neil Cavuto's show on Fox News Channel, Ted Nugent outlined his common sense plan to illegal immigration. Secure the borders, allow law enforcement to do their jobs, end sanctuary cities and allow the National Guard to do their job of guarding our nation.

My favorite quote was at the end of this interview though where Nugent told Congress to stop pandering to one group of people by saying "Davy Crocket had to shoot Santa Ana's men, it was the right thing to do. Everybody knows that Davy Crocket was doing the right thing, but he wouldn't get the Hispanic vote."

And that's what it comes down to right there folks. The next time you see some wishy washy politician coming up with some reason not to do the right thing, call them on it. They're doing it for votes, not for your best interests. Call their office and ask them why they refuse to do the right thing and instead are worrying about offending a small segment of people in this country who are flat out wrong.

As for Cavuto, he's a sell out to this country. I used to like him until I realized that he would sell out America for a buck. I'm pro-business, but not when it comes to breaking the law and putting our country at risk. Cavuto has continuously had those in favor of securing our borders and ending illegal immigration on his show, only to attack them and claim that getting rid of this slave worker class of illegal aliens would be detrimental to the economy. Cavuto sincerely believes that the economy of this country is more important than the sovereignty of the United States and you can see that in the passion with which he attacks them time and time again.

Cavuto would agree with Bush under any circumstances, he thinks Bush is the greatest thing that ever happen to this country I wonder how much or what it would take to wake someone like him up!

    Zeezil,

I agree with you on Cavuto. I used to enjoy listening to him. It seems in the last year or so he does attack those who are advocating enforcing our immigration laws, etc. I recall a few OBL and La Raza type groups that he has given an open stage to without interruption-basically kissing their buts. Makes me sick.

I, like you, am also pro-business. However, there is a difference between allowing businesses enough freedom to fairly compete and what is happening now. Business wants to make dollar after dollar, even if it destroys this country.

Capitalism is great when it works. We are no longer a capitalistic society. Certain businesses break the law, bring in illegals who artificially keep wages lower than a normal market would dictate. Then companies, especially small companies that refuse to hire illegals are run out of business. How is that capitalism? I have often wondered if bringing in illegals that artificially lower wages violated some type of anti-trust law? I am not schooled in economics. Any thoughts anyone?

With this recent housing boom, the wages for roofers, builders, etc. should have gone through the roof if they were using a strictly legal American workforce. I don't know why more people don't understand this and aren't angry about it.

Actually it is worse than this, our sellout politicians are not doing it for the "Hispanic vote", they are doing it for their rich campaign contributers and also because they want to replace intellegent freedom loving Americans with "less demanding" third worlders. Our politicians are essentially electing themselves a new citizenry more to their liking!!

The Center for Immigration Studies had a good paper explaining all this.
