Jeb Bush backs Rubio for vice president

By Paul Singer, USA TODAY Updated 44m ago

Florida governor Jeb Bush says Sunshine State Sen. Marco Rubio would be the best vice presidential candidate to run with Mitt Romney.

In an interview with the conservative website Newsmax, Bush, the son of one former president and the brother of another, said, "I am a great admirer of Mitt Romney's and I'm a huge fan of Marco Rubio's, and I think the combination would be extraordinary."

Rubio has said on several occasions that he is not interested in the vice presidential nomination, but he mains a top choice among Republicans in national polls. Bush said, "Among many great candidates for vice-president, I think Marco's probably the best."

Bush has been considered a possible VP pick for Romney but he downplayed his own candidacy. "Well, I'd consider it, but I doubt I'll get a call, and I don't know if it's the right thing for me to do," he told Newsmax. "I didn't run for president for a similar kind of reason, so I'm all in to try to help him get elected."

Other people Bush said would make good candidates: Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

I do not understand your surprise. The Bush family has long stood for open borders and in favor of Hispanic undocumented workers , (I just wanted to see how it feels to not describe them as illegal aliens. I don't like it because it tries to soften the effect of who they are and what they do). You need to check out George -, Jeb's son who is half Hispanic and how he was used in the last few campaigns. They are trying to set him up for a career in politics and a run at the top office . George Jr is half Hispanic and speaks fluent Spanish. To the Bush family--they believe he will be able to capture Hispanic votes, legal and illegal and eventually grant amnesty and ultimately be a major influence in the NAU, North American Union. This is a dream that G W Bush was working toward during his administration. Remember the SPP?, The secret meetings in Canada , among other places, the close relation ship with former Mexican President Fox??

Obama believe sin it too. They are trying to weaken America so they can have this N A Union and the world will live in peace. Small men with big, wrong beliefs.

In a way, it is like the socialist's idea that if they force the govebment on the people, it will result in a better country. (For them, not for you and me).

PS I know your business suffered becausee of IIs.

Grampa Bush: One of the "little brown ones"

When George P. Bush stepped into the GOP "convention limelight" in 2000, it was not for the first time, Mike Ferullo wrote August 4, 2000, for CNN. "'P' stepped onto the national scene at the 1988 Republican National convention -- where his grandfather George Bush was nominated president -- by leading the pledge of allegiance during the third day of the New Orleans gathering. ...

"It was during that same convention, that the elder Bush created a minor stir when he pointed out George P. and his siblings to President Reagan and his wife Nancy as 'the little brown ones'," Ferullo wrote.

And then you have Romney's Mexican ties. Yup, he has family living over there. And during the Florida primary, he had his Spanish speaking son narrate a SPANISH ad which aired on TV and that was after Romney re-affirmed his commitment to making English our official language (I'm not stupid to fall for that lie). This is the pragmatic politician the GOP establishment gave us and the Bush's are quite happy with him. They would have preferred someone from their clan, but Romney will certainly do. If Obama wins it will not be because the voters want him (they want him fired) but because they will not come out to vote when all you have as your alternate choice is this sorry excuse of a candidate.
