U.S. death toll in Iraq surpasses 3,000 as new year begins

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- U.S. troops killed six people Monday during a raid on a possible safe house for al-Qaida in Iraq, the military said, while the death toll of American service members in Iraq surpassed 3,000.

And then we could also have maps of the associated costs in supporting social services to illegals. We ARE the richest nation on earth and we CAN afford to give our soldiers the very best equipment. Then factor in the homicide rates for states. A good place to look would be the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Over 105 murders in that area alone. That's an excellent idea Skip! The illegal immigration issue can be infused into most debates, regardless of the original debate topic.

I'm off to find a Martha Stewart cooking discussion! Perhaps I can turn a discussion toward burritos and go from there.

Seriously, I think your idea has a lot of merit and would certainly help us get our word out to a variety of people. No attempt out getting our message out is to small in scope. We don't always have to be "in your face" with our message, the subtle approach can achieve the same results.
