Tonight, another financial crisis unfolding on Wall Street –
this time it’s the collapse of venerable investment bank Lehman
Brothers and the eleventh-hour buyout of 100-year old firm
Merrill Lynch. When will our “leadersâ€

Illegal immigration reform and border security have largely
been ignored by the presidential candidates, but with the race
for the White House in a virtual dead heat, both sides are now
starting to use the issue to win over undecided Latino voters.
Hispanics are the fastest-growing segment of the electorate
with analysts predicting a turnout as high as 9 million, up
from 7.6 million in 2004

It doesn't make much sense to me because it seems like illegal alien pandering could cost, especially among Independents, more votes than it would gain.
