VirtualVigilance.org is a project of American Border Patrol, a non-profit 501 c (3) corporation. Some of the cameras are located on its Arizona ranch, right on the Mexican border. ABP has been a pioneer in the use of technology on the border for the past six years.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How Does It Work?
VirtualVigilance.org has cameras on and near the border that can be operated over the Internet. Volunteers sign up to watch these cameras. To maximize vigilance, viewing time is limited to thirty minutes, after which another volunteer takes over.
If suspicious activity observed ABP is notified. After experts confirm the sighting the U.S. Border Patrol is notified.
Note: Some of these cameras are solar-powered and are placed in remote locations.

How Can I Get Involved?
If you want to help protect your country, sign up as a Virtual Vigilance volunteer. You will need a user name and password. Since we can't very well have smugglers operating the cameras, we will have to know who you are before we provide access to the system. So fill out this form and e-mail it to us. We will get back to you. All information is strictly confidential.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Your personal information is probably in better hands with American Border Control, a a non-profit 501c3 corporation than with any government agency, including the U.S. Border Control.
