COTTONWOOD, AZ -- Sheriff's deputies arrested two people after detectives found cocaine, drug paraphernalia and fake ID cards in a home with four children earlier this month

According to a Yavapai County Sheriff's Office news release, detectives served a search warrant on a home in the 100 block of North 10th Street in Cottonwood on August 14 after developing information about drug sales from the home.

After going into the home, detectives found 32-year-old Maribel Sanchez who was holding her 2 month old baby, and 33-year-old Jose Reyna. Three more children, ages 1, 2 and 8, were found in the home.

According to officials, Sanchez and Reyna denied possessing or selling cocaine.

During the initial search, detectives found a digital scale with cocaine residue in the kitchen. Detectives also found 60 individually packaged baggies of cocaine inside shoes in the bedroom.

Reyna allegedly admitted to selling the packages, each weighing a gram, for $50 each. Detectives reportedly noted that the "bindle" packages of cocaine can actually sell for up to $100 each in the area.

Reyna was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was found with $800, even though he was unemployed, officials said. Officials said he also admitted to being in the U.S. illegally.

While searching the couple's bedroom, detectives reportedly found a number of fake ID cards, including social security cards belonging to residents of the Phoenix area. They were allegedly found among personal property belonging to Sanchez.

She was arrested and charged with multiple counts, including possession of forged documents. Sanchez also reportedly tested positive for cocaine use. She was also charged for involvement in the drug sales operation.

Officials said both suspects were booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center. The children were released to a family member.

Reyna remains in-custody and was recently sentenced to the Department of Corrections, according to officials. Sanchez has been sentenced and released pending follow-up by the probation department. Sentencing details are unknown at this time.

So I guess the illegal invaders now act as distributors for the drug cartels out of mexico. Typical illegal invader behavior. The United States is just one big playground for these criminals, where they do as they please without a care in the world!

And our government refuses to put the military on that border out of concerns for mexico's sensibilities.

    What a joke!

It was...and by the way, I'm an illegal alien too... Just an afterthought. I wonder if they would have even checked if he hadn't volunteered the information???
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...
