Americans have nothing to gain from illegal immigration

    Michael R. Stephens, Chatsworth, Calif.
    Reader's Letter

Who put the gun to the head of the illegal aliens? No one did. They and only they are 100 percent responsible for their crimes. Making crossing our border a felony instead of a misdemeanor is the most logical attempt at controlling the problem anyone from Washington, D.C., has made in 20 years.

Mexicans feel it’s their right to come to this country. They think they have the right to free health care, free education, welfare, food stamps and subsidized housing. They have absolutely no fear of prosecution.

The rally for immigration rights had nothing to do with immigration rights! What it had to do is with illegal aliens demanding America give up its sovereign rights to protect its borders. That’s it in a nut-shell. Illegal aliens and those who support them choose who we let in, who we give visas to, who we make citizens and the direction of our culture.

The one-time amnesty of 1986 was expected to give citizenship to 1.1 million illegal aliens. However, we ended up with 2.7 million. Why is this so? In a word, fraud. ICE has just shut down 11 printing operations in eight states that produced tens of millions of what they call high quality forged immigration documents. What we are looking at is a well-coordinated, well-funded and well-planned attempt to make as may Mexicans as possible citizens of the United States.

Who loses? We all do with higher taxes. We all do with a decrease in the quality of education. California’s high-school exit exam is now written on the eighth-grade level and 11 percent failed.

Who loses? The economic loss to this country will be incredible with more people working in our society with only an eighth-grade education. We all lose as our culture fractures and our citizens are unable to communicate with each other. We all lose when there are too many people moving here that don’t want to become Americans in the true sense; they only want to abuse America.

Who gains? Illegal immigrants, Mexico and our political parties all gain.

The illegal immigrant gets a boatload of free social services and jobs. Illegal aliens only make up 2 percent of the people working on farms. The others are working in major cities doing jobs Americans supposedly don’t want. They are human beings and they take the best jobs they can find.

The Mexican economy benefits by $18 billion each year from the money sent back by illegal immigrants working in the U.S. This is their second biggest industry, next to oil. Mexico has a huge lobbying effort in this country. What Mexico wants seems transparent to me, they want Americans to provide their citizens with as many social services as possible.

Republicans and Democrats win by picking up more voters; that’s why they have let this disease continue untreated for 20 years.

Who loses? All Americans lose because we have to pick up the tab and suffer under declining health care and educational systems. Americans lose as our culture fractures.

We can’t afford to let this continue. We need to stop this.

Obviously we are missing some pieces of this puzzle. Let's think about it...the politicos are fighting for the illegals like a child with a new toy. The president has rearranged his whole vocabulary to convince us 'they are good people' and it's not the 'A' word. The only thing I can think of that would make people behave in such a way as this is money and power. So, since the president and the senate are already in power, that leaves us with the 'M' word. It's got to be money, not easy money but fast money from a fast-growing population. Citizenships for sale and a whole lot more!
We are NOT a nation of immigrants!

When I think about all this mess, the thought that Bush and Fox are doing this together, for some benefit to themselves, always pops into my head. What is it with these two? Hmmm.......I wonder how long they have been working on this deal?

From what little I've gleaned, my understanding of the relationship with MONEY and MEXICO goes back to business dealings that Bush Senior had with Mexican Elites- silent partner sort of thing-.
Bush Jr. has alot of friends in high places there. Foreign Investment has always been a source of revenue for the family and not just in Mexico. But I digress,Both the Gas and Oil Industry used to be State controlled in Mexico- Bush Sr. with Big Energy and I believe Clinton as well got Gas privatized. They still want Oil ripped from Mexico's State Control but Spain is fighting hard.
Then there's the Banks...ah the Banks... all that money laundered with so little oversight. Fox knows better than Noreiga what not to try.

I do want to sound crazy or paranoid, but I am starting to believe that Vicente Fox is Bush's half-brother. They arent that far apart in age, and they resemble each other as well as Bush Sr. They both ended up at Harvard, and it seems they both had the same political ambitions. I think Bush Sr. is feeling the guilt, and wants to help Vincente to make up for the past. Jeb Bush being married to a Mexican and having 2 children as a result, might have influence as well.

Either that or Fox has pictures of Bush sleeping with young boys.
