    Arizona starts pushing back

    LITTLE: Arizona starts pushing back
    By Dick Little

Dick Little There's an old saying you may not have heard recently: Turn about is fair play. In this case, doing the "turning" is the Arizona, and Mexico is on the opposite end of the "squeeze."

The American government is trying to ignore the dispute since this dispute is between a U.S. state, and a foreign government, the federal government should take the lead in this issue. They have the responsibility to guard our borders. On the other hand, the Mexican state of Sonora is also upset, for the opposite reason: Mexicans are being sent back home. It's not our federal government that is sending them back, (although it should be) it's Arizona.

Nine Mexican legislators reportedly went to Tucson to complain about the new "employment crackdown" on illegal aliens ordered by the state. Arizona is actually carrying out a function that should be taken care of by the federal government. Hopefully this action puts some heat on the federal government to do what the law says they are required to do: deport people who come here without going through the proper channels.

Those taken into custody by the Arizona are returned to Sonora and they are ticked off about it. They argue Arizona's new Employer Sanctions Law will have a "devastating effect" on their economy. During a news conference, Sonora officials claimed they, " cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it faces as Mexican workers return without jobs or money."

The Arizona state law reportedly punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States. (Penalties include suspension and or, or loss of their business license.)
A Mexican State Repres-entative, Leticia Amparana-Gamez, who represents Nogales (a town across the border from the Arizona town with the same name) went to Phoenix to urge officials to halt the program. She reportedly told state leaders, " Mexico is not prepared for this."

It seems Mexicans coming across the border illegally have been sending a lot of the cash they earn back home. According to news reports, Amparana-Gamez said, (sending "illegals" back should end because) the tremendous problems Mexico faces as more Mexicans who were working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to their home-towns in Sonora without jobs. She told reporters, " we are one family, (the people of Arizona and Sonora) socially and economically! (We) cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that we will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money."

When anyone last checked, Mexico is a sovereign nation and should be responsible for the welfare of its citizens. What part of the U.S. Constitution says Americans must provide work to people who enter the country illegally? Nothing in the Arizona State Constitution outlines in any language that the state is responsible for the care of people that enter the country illegally, either. As a matter of fact, the state has the responsibility to work with the Federal Immig-ration Department to deport people in this country illegally.

Additionally, it should be on the backs of the Mexican government to provide an environment where investors would develop factories and businesses that would provide employment for the people they are supposed to represent in the State of Sonora. Arizona is a very tenacious and independent state. They haven't written political correctness into their state law books, and apparently they don't intend to.

There's a movement in the state to push Congress to pass some laws that will hopefully halt the influx. Some suggestions include, "no bilingual programs in the schools, all ballots will be written in our nation's official language, which is English. All government business will be conducted in that language. Non-citizens will not have the right to vote no matter how long they live in this country. Non-citizens will never be able to hold political office in the state! Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs (will be available). Any person who is a burden will be deported!

This new proposed law also says, foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. If foreigners come here and buy land their options will be restricted to certain parcels including waterfront property (not available in Arizona) are reserved for citizens naturally born in this country.

In addition, a new proposed Arizona law says, " foreigners have no right to protest, or demonstrate, waving a foreign flag, political organizing, or "bad-mouthing" our Presi-dent or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

And finally, the proposed law outlines procedures that apply to those in the state illegally, that reportedly includes water boarding, and " you will be actively hunted and when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you." This sounds pretty harsh but these laws are presently on the books in Mexico and apply to Americans who enter their country.

    English Only !

Bilingual education Is a root cause of our Immigration problems here In the United States. Bilingual ballots for voting,DMV, etc should all be halted . There Is NO Incentive for Illegals or other foreigners to learn English when we cater to their language and culture on a daily basis here In the U.S. TS

Uhh...where have you been? Our federal government is not "ignoring" the dispute, as they have already joined hands with mexico to quash Arizona and their efforts to save their state against the ravages of illegal invaders from mexico.

Obama even allowed calderon to invade our congress where he proceeded to condemn our leaders (I use that term with great disdain) and country for trying to protect ourselves against his invasion. Not to mention, hauled Arizona before the UN, where obummer cried before this corrupted world body, essentially, that Arizona was violating the human rights of illegal invaders by trying to save itself from the invasion which his destroying Arizona and this country.

Our federal government has taken a side and it's not the side of America and our people.
