Border Patrol chases down undocumented aliens

Six undocumented immigrants and an alleged smuggler led law enforcement agencies on a 100-mph chase on Interstates 805 and 5 early Saturday morning.

The nearly hourlong pursuit ended when the white Ford Expedition stopped on the freeway shoulder in Irvine. Border Patrol agents from San Clemente arrested the seven men, all Mexicans, said Michael Jimenez, agency spokesman. No one was injured.

The chase started at about 1:30 a.m. in Otay Mesa near the intersection of Paseo de la Fuente and Alta Road. A Border Patrol agent spotted several men jumping into the Expedition and radioed the information to a dispatcher. When another agent tried to stop the vehicle, it sped northward.

Jimenez didn’t have any information about why the Ford’s driver eventually stopped on his own.

charge them all. starting with illegal entry, using a vehicle in the commission of a crime, and excessive speed and whatever else you can come up with.

this is the only way these people are going to learn

Luckily this chase didn't end in a crash. They often do.
