Federal judge orders him out of country for life if deported after sentence completed

A stowaway earlier deported from the country was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison on Monday for his conviction for smuggling heroin and cocaine into Georgia Ports Authority.

Angel Gomez, 46, must also pay a $10,000 fine and be turned over to immigration officials for deportation proceedings after completing his prison sentence, Senior U.S. District Judge B. Avant Edenfield said.

If deported, Gomez shall remain out of the country “for the rest of his life,â€
