A Moorpark man was arrested on suspicion of exposing himself to at least five women in the city during the past four months, authorities said.

The 27-year-old man was arrested in Moorpark on Sunday after information from witnesses led investigators to his vehicle, said Detective Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

He was booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of six misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and one of driving without a license.

He is not eligible for bail because of an immigration hold.

Authorities said the suspect frequently drove a black 2001 Ford Explorer in the Mountain Meadows and Peach Hill neighborhoods looking for women. When he found one, he would pull alongside her and expose himself, authorities said.

Before the string of exposures began in July, the man allegedly exposed himself to a woman about four years ago.

Sheriff's officials encourage anyone with information about the crimes to call the Sheriff's East County Sexual Assault Unit at 494-8201.
