New Breed of Anchor Babies From China

New Breed of Anchor Babies From China

    Last Updated: Tue, 11/23/2010 - 1:29pm

Mexican illegal immigrants who give birth to anchor babies in the U.S. are being joined by upper-class Chinese women who have the resources to enter the country legally to deliver their offspring and essentially purchase American citizenship.

A story on this new breed of anchor babies was published this week by the leftwing National Public Radio, which makes it a point to intimate the differences between the poverty-stricken illegal border crossers and the affluent Asians. A loophole in American law allows the rich to travel to the United States—often in first-class airline seats—to give birth, the report says, alluding to the plight of the poor chastised Mexicans who desperately cross the treacherous desert to give their unborn children a better life.

Because the Chinese women have money, the U.S. practically welcomes them to give birth here. In fact, it has become a booming trade in China where a host of businesses have profited from the deals. For about $15,000, a company arranges a California hospital, physician, house and car rental for wealthy Chinese parents-to-be. The operations are referred to as “an affordable American dream.â€

    Unfair trade deals.

Spiking our vaccines with harmful contents.

    Deindustrialization of our country.

    Exporting soiled food here.

Feeding off our currency like a parasite.

    Mocking our intellectual property laws.

    And now this ...

China is s#1%ing all over us.

As I live in a Chinese neighborhood (it is now any way) I'll share what I have observed in the last 20 some odd years.

Eight Av. here in Brooklyn was chosen to be colonized in the mid 80's. Eight is some sort of Lucky Number in Chinese culture. First Rich Legal immigrants started buying up properties at about 25% over the appraisal values. Many actually paid tenants who had leases 10 to 20 thousand $ to move out.

These roots having been established more and more Chinese started to arrive who were not rich but just looking for a better life. In this second wave I don't believe many came legally, some might have had visas they over stayed but I think most just jumped ship. Remember the ship "Golden Venture" that ran aground just off the Rockaways in 94?

Well by 95 these colonists became the majority in the neighborhood. The rich were then able to start snapping up properties at well below appraisal values because actual Americans no longer cared to remain in or move back to the neighborhood.

By the mid aughts the take over was complete and very few properties remained that weren't Chinese owned. Slowly but surely as these few hangers on leave their properties are bought by Chinese but now again at above appraisal value.

PS105, the local grade school became so overcrowded a second elementary school had to be built less than 5 blocks away in the late 90's. A third school is now under construction directly between those 2!

During this colonization very few conflicts arose. Now though as the neighborhood expands outwards into what were once Hispanic sections of Brooklyn west of 5th and 4th Avenues tensions are rising. The local media try to downplay whats happening but as I live here I am aware of what is happening.

When you see the help in most Chinese restaurants you cannot help but wonder if they have come here illegally. Their English language skills are usually pretty low. Then, they have importing businesses and building materials companies (granite, tile, and flooring, usually).

For the upper crust who fly here to give birth----I thought our customs agents were supposed to prevent those types of tourist visas? What I have read with other groups, is that they lie and claim they are just shopping, but if they actually disclose they are coming here to give birth they are not supposed to be allowed entry.

They tried the same stuff in Canada and then claimed they cannot take the baby back with them. The government told her to give the child to someone else to raise or put it up for adoption.
