ACLU Recruiting Deported Illegal Aliens for ‘Return-and-Sue’

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) representatives reportedly traveled to Mexicali Friday on the hunt for foreign nationals who have previously been deported or removed from the United States in order to add them to a list of plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit against two U.S. federal government agencies.

Students made up the majority of the 100-odd people that showed up at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California of Mexicali for the public forum according to KPBS. ACLU operatives told the crowd that joining the suit against the U.S. government could benefit them greatly, along with thousands of others.

A 2013 lawsuit filed against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Border Patrol accused the federal government of coercing Mexican nationals to sign “voluntary return” paperwork. KPBS reported that signing the form meant forfeiting the deportee’s right to an immigration hearing–and for some deportees, no legal ability to re-enter the country for a decade. The suit was reportedly settled in 2014, giving nine plaintiffs license to re-enter the United States.

Now the ACLU and three organizational plaintiffs are recruiting prior deportees that signed the voluntary return form between June 1, 2009 and August 28, 2014 for a class action provision of the lawsuit approved by Judge John A. Kronstadt. An ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) release states that claimants must also have been processed through San Diego or Los Angeles ICE offices or San Diego Sector Border Patrol offices, and that they must have had a reason to reside in the U.S. at the time they signed the form. Being physically present in Mexico is an additional qualification to join the suit.

One of the reasons to reside in the U.S. now includes qualification under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) according to KPBS. The ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties made sure to specify in their release that claims must be processed through their organization.

Foreign nationals crossing into the United States illegally that are granted immigration hearings consistently fail to appear at those proceedings in overwhelming percentages–between 70 and 94%, as Breitbart News has previously reported.

That's just unbelievable! A tax exempt 501 C 3 "charity" conspiring with foreign nationals to break US immigration law to file a frivolous lawsuit? I believe this is a crime and they should all be arrested.

Absolutely maddening! How do you feel about winning in courts or legislatively today? As long as you have orgs. like ACLU and LaRaza around with aliens, illegal or legalized, this will go on and on. There is only one way to end this once and for all. You know it as well as I do! Are we less willing to defend ourselves than that generation of the 1940's.

We entered WWII to fight them there before we had to fight them here. Diplomacy. charity and elections sure blew adapting that ideal on this problem. As friends of mine keep reminding me, "Common sense is not very common today!"

How many children were raped in the last 24 hours by aliens? How many murders, robberies, drug deals, DUI's were committed by aliens the past 24 hours? Probably don't think about it because it is embarrassing. It should not be embarrassing, it should be humbling. Humbling enough to take inventory of the past 20 years. What should the inventory expose?

In my inventory about this situation, illegal alien invasion allowed by both officials and government by the people, I'm looking for progress made. It seems obvious that we regressed, not progressed. I cannot find any reason to disagree with that assessment.

What methods did we use to achieve progress? Did they really achieve progress? Caution, Geno: Do not confuse moments of elation and/or hope with progress!
Methods used: Letters, e-mails, faxes, and tel. calls to Congress and Presidents. Formed formal orgs. to lobby Congress, organize rallies, attended town hall meetings and rallies, visited congressmen's offices. Visited with hundreds of citizens attempting to raise awareness of the problem and recruit support. Campaigned against candidates that did not show any support for the cause or the citizenry of the United States. Many other smaller efforts too numerous to recall.

What would have been the financial cost of these efforts?
Oooooeeeee, now that one is difficult because it is huge and has been shouldered by thousands of Americans. What was invested in support of orgs. and what they spent is only estimated by me to be astronomical. Personal expenditures modest but costly over 25 years plus. Time, spent personally, thousands of hours is the only estimate I can make, possibly tens of thousands. Some have likely done more. Some less.

Now, let's close the inventory with the tangible results achieved.
    Do we have secure borders?
Are aliens coming to America in reduced numbers than 25 years ago?
Is it easier for Americans to find employment than 25 years ago?
Has working Americans income in real terms improved in the last 20 years?
Has crime by aliens been reduced in the last 25 years?

My answers to all six questions about improving things are a resounding "Certainly not!"

It seems that methods used to date have failed to achieve any improvement while allowing things to worsen. Obviously, some changes need to be made in the method of achieving a victory. Obviously those changes must be dramatic!

I congratulate the leaders of Alipac, FAIR, NumbersUSA and others for organizing this effort and expending some tremendous efforts. Normally, organized numbers gets governments attention, however even that will fail when the enemy is within. I have seen my enemy and it is me!

That is another subject for another time! Lets exercise some humility before it becomes humiliating!
