Ariz. Gov criticizes Administration, wants meeting

ARIZONA GOVERNOR CRITICIZES ADMINISTRATION IN WASHINGTON AND WANTS MEETING

PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer says she wants to meet with President Barack Obama about border security and immigration while in Washington next week.

The White House responds by saying Obama's schedule "doesn't allow for a meeting" with Brewer, but spokesman Adam Abrams adds that Obama "does intend to sit down with the governor in the future."

Brewer had said Friday she asked to meet with Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano while in Washington next week to meet with other governors.

She also criticized the administration, saying the country's borders still aren't secure and that the federal government should be moving quicker to do more to change that.

Abrams didn't respond to a request for comment on that.

Re: Ariz. Gov Criticizes Administration, Wants Meeting

Our Governor Jan Brewer is going to be in Washington for a meeting with other Governors. She requested to meet with President Obama about "BORDER SECURITY AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION" . She was told his schedule doesn't allow for a meeting but he will sit down with her in the future. What future is that? Border Security and Illegal Immigration is at the forefront of the American Peoples Concerns.

Just another Oh Oops for Obama. He's in Chicago for a vacation and won't honor our soldiers at the Arlington Cemetary in D.C. because in his mind IT'S JUST NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH..

I am thankful I didn't vote for him. That way I can assist "We the People of the United States of America to help them voice their opinions and work together so that we can stand UNITED AND DO EVERYTHING IT TAKES TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK.

I GUESS THOSE OF YOU THAT VOTED FOR HIM ARE NOW ALL WARM AND CUDDLY AND THRILLED WITH THE CHANGE HE IS MAKING FOR THE UNITED STATES. I KNOW THAT YOU MUST REALLY SUPPORT HIM IN THE DIFFERENCE HE IS MAKING IN AMERICA. It is a change you can "Believe" in right?

What I am sure of sitting here in Arizona and talking to people across the country that I deal with on a daily basis is that the "CHANGE" Obama is making is not a positive change. The change is an extremely negative one and is one that will leave behind a trail of Collateral Damage for years to come.

    Till Next Time,

eh even if we had voted for mccain MR OPEN BORDERS guy we would still have problems ...

As for obama , while we may be worried , he as yet to actually DO anything that affects us in a negative manner ... ( other tha bad PR for our cause )

The government has yet to file any lawsuits ... and while they have TALKED about it , i don't see any action ... furthermore he has actually sent troops to the border ...

i will continue to reserve my judgement until he takes action rather than just talks about taking action .

I guess Gov. Brewer did not get the memo.

Unless you want to plot and plan the destruction of our Immigrations laws and support the invasion of our country by IA's you are not welcome at the White House.

Obama is pro open borders and pro amnesty.

Obama is not going to change his mind, just like Republicans are not going to change their mind on taxes.

Obama is stalling until he thinks he has the votes to get amnesty through.

There is no point in thinking he will act any differently.

What we need to do is to continue to support States' enforcement of our immigration laws.
Take a stand or all there will be left to do is to ask the last person in the country we once called America to lower the flag one last time.

Really? You don't think Obama hasn't done anything to negatively affect us? There is a list as long as your arm, including an unconstitutional health care bill that he forced upon the will of the majority. Haven't you been reading the articles on here?

But let's talk about illegal immigration. Obama should be tried for treason for not fulfilling his oath of office to protect this country. Like Bush, he has ignored the findings of the 911 commission to secure our borders. In fact, Obama is worse by cutting funding for the border and gutting our immigration laws without Congressional approval. Because of this, we now have no idea who is a violent criminal wandering our streets. He has gone back to the catch and release policy and has determined on his own that only high level offenders gets deported. He has openly embraced the idea to allow illegals to stay in this country until they kill somebody, regardless of any previous crimes they have committed. Robberies and home invasions, etc. are not deportable crimes according to him. Obama also knows full well that it's just not workers coming across our borders, it's foreign nationals from all over the world, some who want to come here and harm the American people, yet instead of doing his job to secure the border, he openly criticizes states like Arizona for trying to protect the American citizens who live there. Americans are getting slaughtered by the thousands by illegal aliens in this country every year, yet this President has snubbed his nose at those victims by refusing to enforce our laws that would've protected them.

I could go on and on, but for you to say Obama has done nothing to negatively affect us is ridiculous.

I am unclear as to why you suggested Senator John McCain as Mr. Open Borders? From everything I know about John McCain and being a resident of Arizona since 1976 he is far from being considered Mr. Open Border. Senator McCain is doing everything he can to get the attention of Washington and everyone he can to let them know "We need to get the Damn Fence between Mexico and the United States Completed.

As for our illustrious current President Obama, "We need to be worried". From all the research I have done in my investigation of Obama I could go on forever with situations and details and all the how's and why's he's put us in both in Arizona and across our country, not to mention Internationally that do nothing but put us in an extremely bad and "NEGATIVE" light.

There's no doubt in my mind that the lawsuits aren't coming, "THEY ARE AND THEY WILL BE COMING"

On your suggestion that Obama has sent troops to our border, you need to do some more investigating and reading, because that's what he and his "WASHINGTON INNER CIRCLE OF ASSOCIATES" want us to believe. At present there has not been one troop sent to our border. That was a great public relations ploy on his part to make the American's believe he is doing something. In reality all he is doing is stalling for time so that his plan of amnesty for all Illegal Immigrant here in the U.S. comes to pass prior to his re-election so that he gains the newly Americanized Illegal Immigrants votes.

I respect your choice to reserve your judgement until Obama takes action because that's each persons choice. I however through much experience know "THAT WHEN SOMETHING SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS".

It was that very thing prior to Obama being elected that threw me into deep study, investigation, and research on both candidates, the end result being Obama and his famous campaign slogan "Change You Can Believe In".

It's just my personal opinion but I know that the Change Obama wants and is working on is NOT A CHANGE I CAN EVER BELIEVE IN.

By Jove I think you are right USPatriot, I guess our Governor Jan Brewer must have been out of the office when she received that memo from Washington.

I totally agree with you about why someone like Governor Jan Brewer wouldn't be welcome at the White House. I do think that "IF YOU WOULD LEAVE YOUR INTEGRITY, VALUES, MORALITY, AND BELIEFS AT THE DOOR" or else check them at the coat closet and believe in " BARACK OBAMA'S THE CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN", then there is no doubt about it, you are not welcome at the White House.

That is very sad however looks and feels like it's the truth and reality of our White House mentality in 2010 and beyond.

    Thank you for your post.

I Agree with you that Obama is pro open borders and pro amnesty.

Where Obama is concerned he is not going to change, nor change his mind, the only change he intends on is the Change he Silently has in store for all of us in the United States.

Republicans and Democrats alike; I can't say for sure what they will do because I think the time has finally come in our world that some things we've known as a norm may be on the edge of change that none of us could have predicted. Our elections are set up so that there are party lines to nominate and then one party runs against the other for election.

That being said, we just might be in disbelief that we see into our future a philosophical turn to no longer voting within party lines but voting based on intelligent researched investigation of the candidates prior ideology and the potential impact of where that leads them and how that impacts each of us.

I too agree Obama is stalling until he thinks he not just has the votes to get amnesty through, but also has the ability to get those he isssued amnesty to to vote for him.

I don't believe our Illustrious President can either act differently, nor influence us to believe he has and will drive us to a home run if we follow his offer of a "Change We Can Believe In".

I believe what we need to do is Unite to give Washington D.C. no choice but to 'LISTEN TO WHAT WE SAY, AND MAKE SURE OUR VOICE IS LOUD ENOUGH AND STRONG ENOUGH SO THEY GET OUR MESSAGE TO ENFORCE THE FEDERAL LAWS THAT ARE ON THE BOOKS". Beyond that I know for a fact that we each need to continue to support States enforcement of our Immigration Laws.

tinybobidaho Thank you for responding with your post

Thank you so much for your post. Personally I think it is awesome and I totally agree with you.

Starting where you left off, I too could go on and on about his campaign trail/sale promise of providing us with "A CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN". I believe both of us and many others know exactly what he has done, what he has promised and hasn't done, and how the negative reactions felt round the world are affecting us and will continue for years to come.

There is more to Obamas picture perfect world then most American's realize. More people should check out the 14 video series titled "Iron Mountain a blueprint to tyranny. It is definitely a major eye opener and I do believe many in this country need their eyes opened.

We need to go back to the plain and simple basics that our country was founded on such as "UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL". We need to stay informed of what is going on around us and behind the scenes. We need to remember, we all have an opinion and a voice and we need to make our voices heard loud and clear.

Once again, thank you for your time and your post
