East Hartford Police Search For Suspect in Sex Assault

EAST HARTFORD ——

Police are searching for a suspect in a sex assault incident who they say has recently fled the area.

Mario Antonio Urizar, 36, who police said is an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, is wanted on the charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint for an incident reported in early June.

Other than this incident, police said, they have no information that Urizar is dangerous or violent.

Urizar is described as a 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said he abruptly left his job at an area cable television company when he learned a complaint had been lodged against him. Urizar is known to have relatives in Providence, R.I.
