Uganda deports 28 Rwandan illegal immigrants

Uganda government on Saturday deported 28 Rwandan nationals who have been living in Uganda illegally, Daily Monitor has learnt. The illegal immigrants were arrested in Lyantondeon June 11.

They were charged for illegal entry by Lyantonde magistrate Fortunate Kyomukama on June 17 and transported to the Immigration Department in Kampala from where their deportation was arranged.

The Rwandans were escorted from Kampala on Friday by (Interpol) International Police Kampala branch and Lyantonde District security officials; RDC, Isidol Tibamwenda and DPC, Mr Michael Ssebuliba and handed over to Rwanda government officials at Uganda-Rwanda border post of Katuna in Kabale.
