Hector Fuentes to enter plea on immigration charges
PORTLAND, Maine -

Hector Fuentes is expected to enter a plea in federal court on Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens and hiring unauthorized aliens.

Immigration agents raided three restaurants Fuentes co-owns with his brother in September. Agents found at least eight illegal immigrants living in the basement of the Fajita Grill in Westbrook. Agents also said they found evidence of illegal activity at the Cancun Mexican Restaurant in Waterville and at the Cancun Mexican Restaurant Two in Biddeford.

Fuentes was charged, along with his brother, Guillermo. When they were released on bail in September, a judge said the brothers could only contact each other through their attorneys.

Fuentes is a citizen of Mexico and he has been forced to surrender his passport.
