    Immigrant rights upsurge tips Nov. elections?

    http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/9065/1/320

    <excerpt>

    Jose Artemio Arrellano, a suburban school janitor and SEIU member and a key organizer of Chicago’s May 1 action, urged youth to go to school, pursue a college education, get involved in the community and learn how to change the system.

    “Register and vote,” he said, “and demonstrate to the electoral process our strength, numbers and power. The future is in your hands.”

    With recent polls showing that registered voters are rejecting Republicans and their agenda by a 15 percent margin, the immigrant rights upsurge could tip the balance in this November’s congressional races.

    That's what I was wondering. It's hard to tell if he's encouraging them to register now and vote or if it's part of his telling the youth to go to college, get an education, etc.

    I hope he's wasn't encouraging illegals attending the rallies to register to vote!

    Illegals voting illegally!

    Nevertheless, his claim that the immigrant rights group could "tip" the November elections is rather bold, isn't it?

    There should be lots of poll watchers at the elections to make sure that illegals aren't trying to vote.

    Why are they recruiting them at marches and demonstrations they are illegals and they cannot vote. I do believe in this november election there will be illegals voting if they do not check their status. I recently got voter registration cards in the state of MA and all they want is your current and former address, your drivers license number and your social security number. All of this information can be obtained fraudulently in this country, so what the heck?
