The Sioux County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Department arrested three men last week on felony identity theft or forgery charges.

Ivan Santos-Cabrera, 22, of Hull was charged with forgery and identity theft last Thursday when Sioux County jailers realized he was employed using false information.

Investigators said he used a forged Nebraska identification card and Social Security number to get work at Double V Dairy in Rock Valley.

Ramiro Garcia-Ibarra, 34, of Hull was charged with identity theft on Dec. 11. Deputies investigating a noise complaint found that Garcia-Ibarra was an illegal U.S. resident.

Authorities said he used fake Social Security and Resident Alien cards of another person to get work at Formosa Food Co. in Hull.

Angel Cruz-Ortega, 32, of Sioux Center faces the same charges as Santos-Cabrera.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped Cruz-Ortega at 3 a.m. Dec. 11 for driving with no license or insurance. At the jail, staff learned that he used someone’s Social Security number to get work at Dykstra Dairy in Maurice and buy a vehicle, authorities said.
