It amazes me, and yet it doesn't, to see that the only poll you listed in your article was the push-poll by Elon. In every other poll taken in North Carolina by radio stations, newspapers (including your own) and TV stations, an overwhelming over 90% of North Carolinians voted AGAINST giving in-state tuition to economic terrorists (illegal aliens) in our state.
Biased reporting in the Raleigh News & Observer? How remarkably unusual! At least you quoted the Governor correctly -- which did not surprise me because HE is your KING! And for once, he is right in this matter. Governor Easley is smart enough to know that our State simply cannot afford this. It is economically unfeasible.
The economic terrorists cannot glean one more penny from this State's tax paying citizens if we do not allow it. And the voters will not allow it. It's time the elected officials of this State, and your newspaper, it's columnists, reporters, editors, etc. wake up and realize it.
Before your subscribers decide that we no longer wish to hear from you. People have the option to just stop their subscriptions when they get tired of your biased rhetoric.

Thanks for the feedback.

Most of the polls you reference are online polls that are not scientific. We quoted the Elon poll because it used standard, accepted techniques for random sampling.

It was still a Push-Poll which Elon admitted and you know it. You obviously were trying to give the article a particular point of view. You failed miserably my friend. If the poll in your own paper is not good enough for you, wonder what your editor would think of your view on that?
Please try to just give us the news without a biased slant. That's what we want. We're sick of all the BS because you think we care about your own personal views. We can make up our own minds if you just give us the facts.

The facts Ma'am. Just the facts.

It seems to me this would be a good poll to reference if the poll from the Raleigh News & Observer is not good enough or scientific enough for you or your article.

I called Civitas to get their poll results; they never responded and as of Friday they did not have a working web site.
