Mexican with many deportations gets 7 years

A Mexican man who re-entered the U.S. after being deported at least five times has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
Otoniel Tejeda-Yanez, of Chiapas, had been deported in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2009. He also has two theft convictions and a conviction for robbery during a carjacking.
The 32-year-old Tejeda-Yanez was captured by the U.S. Border Patrol in February after entering the country near San Luis, Ariz.
He was sentenced this week by Phoenix-based U.S. District Judge Murray Snow. The judge also ordered Tejeda-Yanez to serve 60 months for illegal re-entry after deportation and an additional 24 months for violating release conditions from a 2004 conviction for the same crime.
