A Jan. 5 Wall Street Journal story by Susan Schmidt and Maurice Tamman mugged some Latino leaders connected with housing advocacy.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus members and CHC’s separate but closely allied nonprofit public policy institute came under close scrutiny for the appearance of an overly close association with troubled mortgage lenders. The Journal article said congressional representatives and the policy institute received contributions for dubious purposes.
Schmidt and Tamman asserted Congressional Hispanic Caucus members “received donations from the lending industry and saw their constituents moving into new homes, pushed for eased lending standards, which led to problems.â€

Hannie Mae - 40% of subprime loans went to hispanics Jose, so yeah it's pretty fair to say latinos are in large part to blame.
"Hannie" refers to hispanics only. I haven't seen any Wannie Maes, Bannie Maes or Annie Maes for whites, blacks and asians.

HUD estimates 5 million illegal aliens defaulted on subprime mortgages. Also let's not forget our buds in congress as Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the other usual suspects including Bill Clinton who through the CRA forced BOA, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, Fannie, Freddie and other institutions through threats of lawsuits and other legal actions to loan to illegal aliens with no documentation, little documentation and fraudulent documentation with stolen social security numbers. Clinton even told the media 2 months ago that he upon warnings from then Fed Chairman Paul Volcker and his successor Alan Greenspan that Fannie and Freddie if not controlled could sink the economy "tried to introduce a little regulation" but was rebuffed by Democraps. The trail of corruption and stench has many tentacles in congress and the White House.
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.

We are not blaming all "Latinos", only the illegal ones and their advocates.
