Immigration legislation fluctuating
By NOELLE PHILLIPS
The Senate on Tuesday backed off a hard-line amendment to its immigration bill that would have required all S.C. businesses to use a federal database to screen for illegal immigrants.
Still, the bill could change again, setting the stage for a showdown today on the Senate floor.

TO THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA - WAKE UP!
The people of South Carolina, like those of Arkansas, let their politicians
set their own agenda.
When Lindsay Graham stood up and pushed George Bush's Amnesty he was not representing the people of a state which has never recovered from the civil war.
I wrote every Republican party chairman across South Carolina over this very fact after Graham's speech and asked them WHY?
At least 3 area chairmen of the Republican party in that state resigned as
as result of that man's efforts to push illegal immigration amnesty.
IT IS IRONIC THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES WHO WON SOUTH CAROLINA WILL GIVE THE PEOPLE OF THAT STATE AN AMNESTY LIKE THEY NEVER SAW.
