    (KUTV) SALT LAKE CITY - Senator Mike Lee has a plan to entice rich people to America.

    If a rich foreigner will buy a big American house, Lee would make it easy for him to get into America.

    The house has to be pretty expensive, at least $500,000.

    People already in the United States illegally would not be eligible even if they could afford a big house.

    Senator Lee hopes that allowing foreigners to buy homes would help the distressed United States housing market.

    Housing prices have fallen, and many homeowners owe bigger mortgages than their house is worth.

    Lee says allowing foreigners to buy houses might ease the housing glut, and raise house values.

    Yea, they will start the program at 500,000 and in typical DC insider invader incrementalism fashion they will then keep lowering the price range behind our backs till most empty homes are filled with fresh immigrants from other nations.

    First they got our jobs. Now they'll get our homes. One commenter I saw wrote, 'should we leave the car in the garage and the dog in the yard for them too?'
