That’s because the New Hanover County Republican is the only Hispanic in the 120-member House. McComas was born a U.S. citizen in Puerto Rico.

He’s also a Republican, a party more likely to support legislation that cracks down on illegal immigration and similar issues, putting him in an awkward position when bills such as House Bill 33 come up for a vote.

Recently passed by the House and sent to the Senate for consideration, the bill would ban the “matricula consularâ€

[quote]The release said voting to support illegal aliens was bad enough, but added that for McComas “to break ranks with the Republican Caucus at a time when Republicans have gained control of the N.C. Legislature for the first time in 130 years adds further insult to conservatives.â€

[quote]His wife, he said, was born in Cuba and worked hard to earn her U.S. citizenship as an adult. Now, McComas said, she values her citizenship “probably more than many people who are born U.S. citizens.â€

Every politician who has or intends to vote for Amnesty or rights for illegals needs to be targeted for upcoming elections and we need to make sure they do not get a seat in ANY government office. Let them fight with the illegals for a job.

Puerto Ricans are more likely to have to compete for jobs with illegal aliens. A large number of illegal aliens are using Puerto Rican birth records to generate false ID.
