    ‘Birthright citizenship' under attack

    ‘Birthright citizenship' under attack

PHILADELPHIA — Twelve years ago, Lizbeth Ramos and her common-law husband, Juan, left their hometown near Puebla, Mexico, and set out on foot for the Arizona border, to slip into new lives as illegal immigrants.

He found work in a produce market near Philadelphia, she in a boutique.

Now 30, she lies on an examination table in Pennsylvania Hospital, at an obstetrics clinic for immigrant women, no status questions asked. As a doctor slides an ultrasound wand over her bulging belly, her eyes are transfixed by the monitor. She is carrying twins.

The moment they enter the world, they will be what their parents are not: U.S. citizens.

Such is their birthright, granted by the 14th Amendment to an estimated 340,000 babies born annually to undocumented immigrants.

I wish you WEAK Republicans would get it right! the 14th amendment does NOT confer citizenship under the jurisdiction clause to children of foreign ambassadors or ILLEGAL ALIENS. One parent must be a LEGAL citizen according to U.S. Supreme Court cases. This country will NEVER recover economically until the illegal alien invasion is stopped from stealing money from the states, which are ALL in the hole. The aliens pop out kids like a PEZ dispenser, and drain the funds before they can be put back in the coffers by TAX PAYING CITIZENS. Democrats cannot understand mathematics, and apparently neither do Republicans. The amendment does not need to be changed, just properly interpreted, and ENFORCED

On Fox News right now, a discussion re: Utah and illegal immigration plan...

    More nauseating spin. Disgusting.

One guy said we need foreign workers to grow Utah's economy... What a crock! More amensty bs, no matter how they spin it'

And you have to be an unconcerned moron who illegal immigration has not yet personally affected to say illegals don't come here to have anchor babies...

The corporate interests want subsidized low income labor, the commies and fascists (dems and reps) want dependents, the Catholic Church, and others (Mormon) want tithes, and the tax paying American foots the bill!

Wake up America! We are surrounded by treasonous snakes and treacherous vermin!

    Can't you smell that smell?
