Dem Rep in AZ says Obama won’t come to the border

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) has put herself into overdrive this week in getting distance from President Barack Obama. First she all but called him a liar when disputing his contention that the border is more secure now than at any time in the past 20 years, which Giffords noted was hardly a measure of success. In this appearance on Fox News, Giffords implies that Obama has no real interest in the issue, and neither does his administration. Giffords reminded Fox viewers that Obama has yet to actually come to the border and see the situation for himself, while her constituents have to live with the consequences of federal disinterest in border security. Well, who can blame Obama for not wanting to go to the border? The federal government helpfully instructed people to stay out of American territory that the US apparently declines to defend. Perhaps Obama just wants to show leadership by example.

If he goes into Arizona....he will have to show a Birth Certificate..

It costs aLOT of money for a president to go ANYwhere. Secret Service has to investigate EVERYBODY that might have any contact with the president, his food, his transportation - it's unbelievable.

At this point I wish for him to be austere with our tax dollars and not go anywhere. He can just stay at the White House and buckle down and work hard just like millions of citizens who can never even afford a vacation on their wages. He has even lost his ability to speak persuasively. He's shown us who he is and what he's got and he ain't got it. He is not a leader - he is not presidential material and he and his administration had better get busy proving to us why we even need a federal government anymore. I'm so done with all of them. At the rate he's going I fully expect Mexican troops to be patrolling Phoenix proper in the next couple of months - and worse. Yeah, some talking heads like Rush tried to blame everything on ObombUs today and he is full of crap too - it started long before ObombUS so today Rush reminded me of what a tool he is too.
