    Gang Related Kidnapping

    3 Suspects in custody

BROWNSVILLE--- A Brownsville father is missing this evening and three people are behind bars in connection to a gang-related kidnapping.

Police say 26-year-old Jose Guadalupe De La Cruz was abducted Saturday evening from his home.

According to reports suspects in two cars pulled up to the 11-hundred block of Calle Planeta, and assaulted De La Cruz with a bat and a gun while he was watching his son.

They then forced him into a dark blue Ford Explorer and sped off.

Police were able to track down three of the suspects.

Genaro Fuentes, Hiram Hernandez, and Omar Briseno were all arrested after admitting to being involved.

According to reports the three said they were contacted by other members of the Texas Syndicate Prison Gang to abduct De La Cruz because of a debt.

De La Cruz is believed to still be in the Brownsville area.
