TRAITOR ALERT: Bush pledges amnesty to Mexicans!!

Bush reassures skeptical Mexico on immigration

    Tuesday, March 13, 2007

MERIDA, Mexico (Reuters) - President Bush tried to reassure Mexicans on Tuesday that he has not given up on overhauling U.S. immigration policy but they are increasingly skeptical he can deliver.

Bush told Mexican President Felipe Calderon in their first summit meeting that he would try to convince Congress to pass his plans to soften U.S. immigration laws and allow a guest worker program.

"My pledge to you and your government, but more importantly the people of Mexico, is that I will work as hard as I possibly can to pass comprehensive immigration reform," he said at a luxury hotel set in farm grounds on the outskirts of the southeastern Mexican city of Merida.

Mexico's importance to U.S. business and trade is unrivaled in Latin America. Yet a sense of neglect has set in as Bush, who promised to make Mexico a priority when he took office in 2001, has become distracted by the Iraq war, which has made him even more unpopular in Latin America than he is at home.

Mexicans account for more than half of the 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States and Mexico is upset at U.S. plans to build a security fence along parts of the border to curb illegal immigration.

"Migration cannot be stopped and certainly not by decree," said Calderon, a conservative who took office last December.

Mexico poses a complex challenge for Bush on the final stop of a Latin American tour aimed at shoring up his standing and countering the anti-U.S. influence of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Calderon told a Mexican newspaper in an interview published on Tuesday he did not have high hopes for the Bush meeting and said he wanted closer ties to communist Cuba.

To Washington's approval, Calderon has sent thousands of troops into a fight against Mexican drug cartels who killed around 2,000 people in a turf war last year.

But he repeatedly complains that the United States does not do enough to fight drug consumption at home or stop Mexican gangs buying weapons north of the border.

What is his PLEDGE to us? That he will continue to work hard to undermine America as he is doing?

I think he is pledging to the wrong country.

Although it wasn't me, this moron needs to remember that the American people are the ones who put him in office....or did we? At any rate, it wasn't messico.

Our President is a stinking pile of garbage with legs. I look at him with complete disgust, he is a traitor beyond comprehension. I voted for him, twice. I feel like a complete idiot. If I came out of a coma today, I wouldn't believe how bad this is.

The Mexican Government is dictating immigration policy to us and our President is on his knees, licking their boots! AHHHHHH!!! I just want to puke!

I don't know who smells worse, Kennedy or Bush?

The scumball is playing the extortion game! I'm sure Cuba will give him billions! As I understand it, Cubans don't necessarily cozy up to the Mexicans.

Isn't it amazing? I read that the average Cuban household doesn't have cable tv, phones, things that we consider everyday things...and yet, you're probably right, gofer, and Cuba will give them billions. And at the rate we're going, we'll be just like Cuba and messico before long.

What is new? I am beginning to doubt that Bush ever had a loyalty to the American people. This is ALL about him/his buddies and the almighty dollar.
PS. I think his pledge is to ignore us as long as he can......I guess we will have to show him that is not going to work!
