Expert: No Rush to U.S. by Panicked Mexicans

Leonardo Martinez-Diaz, Political Economy fellow in the Global Economy and Development program at the Brookings Institution, tells Newsmax that it is unlikely that fearful and/or impoverished hordes of Mexicans will seek sanctuary in the U.S.

Martinez-Diaz, deputy director of Brookings’ Partnership for the Americas Commission, says that although some nervous members of the U.S. Congress had just questioned Homeland Security officials about contingency plans for such an onslaught, that “short of a major ecological catastrophe, I don’t think it would happen.â€

The package helped Mexico get out of the crisis, and the U.S. got its money back with interest, early.

Apparently no mention that the remittances of Mexican illegals are the second biggest source of their wealth, after the petroleum industry. So nifty that we provided the jobs for illegals sending US dollars home, suck our economy dry by their demand on public services, and we buy their oil with US dollars. These guys are laughing all the way to the banks that we have bailed out. So we got paid back, not because of Mexico's success and prosperity, but because their citizens are here taking advantage of every job, not to support the American economy, but to support the Mexican economy. I am getting real sick of this.
And if we are not as prosperous, send in the drug gangs to suck up the rest of our money, and heaved forbid, don't deport their illegals as they have no room for them.
