Immigrants attack Border Patrol agent with rocks

YUMA, Ariz. A Border Patrol agent working near Yuma has been hospitalized after illegal immigrants tossed baseball size rocks at him.

The attack occurred as the agent was apprehending an illegal immigrant near San Luis.

A border camera operator observed seven individuals enter the U-S illegally and notified the agent.

One of the rocks tossed at the agent struck him in the head causing a laceration and profuse bleeding.

The agent managed to fire his weapon in self-defense at the individuals throwing rocks.

It's unknown if any of the immigrants were struck.

The illegal immigrants fled into Mexico and additional Border Patrol agents arrived at the scene to provide assistance and medical care.

The injured agent was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where he received 12 stitches to close the wound to his head.

He fired at them? I wonder if he's been jailed yet.

Wonder if anything will happen to them (illegals) for attacking the border patrol agents? I mean what are they to do? Just stand there and get pelted?

I hope at least one of them got shot by him. Sneaking into a country and attacking it's government officals is an ACT OF WAR!

I wonder how long it will be until they sue the Border Patrol in OUR courts if they got shot.

A baseball sized rock would be considered a deadly weapon. Where is the outrage from our federal government?

What federal government? Our government went to sleep the day George W. Bush took office.

BP had every right to protect themselves by using their weapons, of course the bleeding heart lib's will complain that they used guns against rocks, perhaps these agents should hire a baseball pitcher and instruct them in the art of throwing rocks so that it will be a fair fight.

Seems we're moving back in time instead of forward. Rocks and sticks so we can be PC.

That is almost as good as putting unarmed military on the border. If you have to wait until you are struck in the head before you can fire your weapon, we are in huge trouble.
