Washington-area police report wave of burglaries, cite illegal immigrants
WASHINGTON - A wave of burglaries is spreading across the Washington area, and police say illegal immigrants, hit by police crackdowns and the drop in new construction, are likely playing a key role. "The immigrant community is at a tipping point," said Montgomery County police community liaison Officer Luis Hurtado. "The poor economy is pushing more immigrants to turn to crime." In the first five months of this year, burglaries climbed 10 to 20 percent in many jurisdictions. The District of Columbia had the greatest increase, jumping 20 percent from 1,370 in the first five months of 2007 to 1,638 for the same period this year.

    Sounds right

Ya.....and you think making them legal is going to change that? Why work when stealing is so much easier? Heck they steal here for the sheer thrill of knowing they can do it. Ya.....bad economic times always brings forth more crimes.....so import millions of poor and that's the answer?

These people come from countries in which it is acceptable to lie, cheat and steal. I have no illusions they are going to behave any differently when they cross our borders illegally.

They're making the IAs out to be the victims, and not the honest, law abiding, taxpaying citizens who have been ripped off and traumatized by people/criminals who shouldn't even be here.

Exactly! Its our own government and law enforcement who feeds the belief to these ia and their anchor babies that the laws of our country do not apply to them and they can do whatever they want without fear of being held accountable for their crimes. So much for the shadows these people are in.

Why would they? Only in America can they complain how bad it is here while committing crimes and standing in our welfare lines and getting a free education for all their anchor babies...It's a cake walk here for them if they went back home they'd actually have to get off their ass and go to work...If these people are such hard workers why is it that our welfare lines are full of them?
