Authorities Say 3 Chases All Drug Related

DPS troopers are weighing several bundles of marijuana recovered from three different police chases.

Troopers in the Sullivan City area, Penitas and Mission area all went after suspected criminals looking to get away. Several bundles of marijuana were found hidden under a fake bed of the trucks in two of those chases.

Troopers say they tried pulling over each driver for a routine traffic stop. Both drivers took off. They each bailed out, leaving the drugs behind.

Investigators say the two chases are not related. The third chase, investigators say, involved a drug scout. No arrests have been made.
