The Drug Enforcement Administration is under fire for its program to send money to the cartels. The DEA seizes millions of dollars every year from cartels. They use some of that money to try to catch those same bad guys.

The money goes into the Treasury Department and back to taxpayers. The DEA deposited most of the $18 billion it seized from the cartels into the U.S. Treasury.

The treasury prints money, collects taxes through the IRS and sends rebates. This department also investigates tax evaders. The DEA keeps a few billion dollars to pay for its operations.

Phil Jordan, a former DEA supervisor, says drug seizure money goes to DEA's task forces in every city and county. Those task forces have local officers.

The DEA is now under scrutiny for its money operation. Agents recycle the dirty money. They send it back into the hands of the cartels to see where it ends up.

Maybe that is the only way this government will stop this insanity if it shows to be profitable to the treasury and their coffers.
