A Mexican national hospitalized in intensive care says a Border Patrol agent beat him so badly that the assault punctured his lung.

A Border Patrol official said the agency is investigating whether agents used excessive force while arresting the man early Wednesday in San Ysidro.

The man's doctors think they know what happened.

“Law enforcement probably overdid it with this man,â€

Hmmmm- maybe the mexican national just wants half a million in cash from a lawsuit?
I posted a thread a few weeks ago about a salem illegal alien who was killed when he decided to race his bike against the train in the salem oregon area-
an attorney is suing on behalf of his mexican family for 1.3 million
even though it was his fault and he was here illegally

Officials investigating how border crosser was injured during arrest

    UNION-TRIBUNE BREAKING NEWS TEAM

    10:31 a.m. February 3, 2006

SAN DIEGO – Border Patrol officials are investigating how a suspected illegal border crosser came to be injured during his arrest near the San Ysidro Port of Entry early Wednesday morning.
The man was walking with another man and a boy south of the Coral Gate housing development just north of Camino de la Plaza, about a mile from the border crossing, when Border Patrol officers tried to stop them about 12:30 a.m.

The trio ran from officers on rugged terrain for a short distance before they were taken into custody, said Richard Kite, San Diego sector Border Patrol spokesman. Kite said at least one man had to be tackled by Border Patrol officers.

“The terrain there is very rough. It's riddled with concrete and rocks,â€

    By Tony Manolatos

    February 11, 2006

The Mexican Consulate in San Diego has joined medical doctors in saying a U.S. Border Patrol agent likely beat an illegal immigrant last week.

The consulate also criticized the federal agency for comments a Border Patrol spokesman made when answering questions about the incident on a national Spanish TV news broadcast this week.

“He told them they didn't beat (the man) – he said one of them fell down and injured himself,â€

If he is that bad off, doctors should be able to 'time' his injuries, determining exactly WHEN they occurred. It wouldn't surprise me if he was assauted earlier and then crossed the border in plain site to Purposely get arrested and make these claims. I'll bet Morris 'The Huckster' Dees would take his case.
