Monday, January 12, 2009

Television
* Credit card companies are receiving billions in
federal bailout money and interest rates are virtually zero.
With all the help they are receiving, why do they continue to
raise their own interest rates and slam the Middle Class? We
will have a full report tonight.

* Plus, President-elect Obama is meeting with Mexican
President Felipe Calderon in Washington today. Drug Cartel
violence and NAFTA are expected to be two of the main topics of

Show, debuted this spring. Join us weekdays for news and
politics aimed at independent thinkers. Visit LouDobbsRadio.com

Joining Lou in the Independent Nation on Monday will be PAT
CHOATE. The author of Dangerous Business: the Risks of
Globalization for America will discuss President-elect Obama’s
stimulus plan and the role globalization plays in our current
economic mess.

Congressman PETE KING, Republican of New York, will talk about
who might succeed Secretary of State-designate Hillary Clinton
in the Senate—and if he’s got any campaign plans of his own
brewing for 2010.

And JOHN COOK, the mayor down in the West Texas town of El
Paso, is in a geographically perilous place—right across the
border from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, where drug-related violence
is running rampant. The mayor will tell Lou how the chaos in
Mexico is affecting things on his side of the border.

As always, Lou will take your calls to discuss the issues that
matter most—and to get your thoughts on the direction America
is heading. Call him toll-free on the Independent Hotline at
