    DALTON — Dalton Board of Education members say they’ve made all the cuts to the Dalton Public Schools system they can without significantly affecting the quality of education the system is able to offer.

    Now they’re proposing a tax increase for property owners, and not everyone is convinced that’s a good move in a town with high unemployment and a shrinking business base.

    If out of county residents have to pay tuition, how can an illegal alien prove residency for their children when they belong in their home country and have no legal right to be here in the US?
