RALEIGH, N.C. -- A Raleigh-based nonprofit is unveiling a statewide billboard campaign in support of immigrants.

Uniting NC will unveil the campaign today at the Raleigh offices of Que Pasa Media. Participating in the news conference will be Rabbi Eric Solomon of Beth Meyer Synagogue; the Rev. Diane Faires of St. Paul's Christian Church; and Fiaz Fareed, the outreach coordinator for the Islamic Association of Raleigh.

Uniting NC says the three faith leaders will call on North Carolinians to "welcome the stranger" this holiday season and to treat immigrants with respect.

The first billboards will go up in Raleigh, followed by Durham, Mebane, Charlotte, Asheville and Goldsboro. More than 250 people paid for the billboards.
